Shop with a Cop
Shop with a Cop was designed to unite Aurora Police Officers and Public Safety employees with local disadvantaged children for a special day of shopping. We strongly believe in making a difference in the lives of our children and families in our city and the surrounding communities.
Scholarship Fund
The Aurora Police Association Charitable Foundation is committed in encouraging and assisting in the furtherance of education amongst its Police Family. The APA Scholarship Fund was established in December of 2016 and will recognize members’ children who have exhibited an understanding of the relationship between law enforcement and the community. Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in a continuing education program following their graduation from high school.
Assist Police Officers and their Families
Through the Aurora Police Association Charitable Foundation donations will be allocated to assist officers and their family’s in need of monetary support. In the event of an injury or God forbid death of an officer this fund allows the Aurora Police Association to provide money quickly to help the family deal with getting family in town, provide hotel rooms if necessary and utilize restaurants as needed. There are also many other needs of officers that arise like assisting with expenses due to ill or injured family members, flood or fire damaged homes, and other unexpected expenses that arise out of unfortunate circumstances.
